Paintings
Though Delphiniums don't grow well in our Texas heat, when you're given a pot of them just ready to bloom, you've just gotta' plant them. Actually, our cool spring lasted long enough that these beauties reigned in the garden for a quite a while. Of course, I just had to paint their cool blues and pinks.
This painting is more of a loose impression than anything. I added pen and ink (actually a micron pen) to define them a bit more. I like the blend of loose (watercolor) and tight (pen and ink).
This painting has lovely torn edges (just a little visible in the photo).
