Peonies! Fragrant clouds of soft petals! I wish that I could grow them here in North Texas! Sigh! But I can dream... and paint!

This is what I call a white line painting, where the artist leaves a white line between each part. This allows me to paint one petal next to another without the opportunity for "backruns", unplanned blending, and other watercolor tomfoolery. It also allows me to paint each petal as beautifully as possible.
